Karen Mattson - Work Detail: Peonie's Bright Leaves

During a recent demonstration I did for our local art group, the Valley Fine Arts Association, I painted this to show different techniques and use of color by painting wet on wet, wet on dry and dry on dry when painting leaves.  The peony evolved once the leaves were completed.
